I started shooting high power in 1987 with a M1 Garand. In 1997 switched from shooting a service rifle to an AR15 match rifle (space gun). The years 1999 and 2000 I earned the NRA's High Master classification in across the course and long range. Today am still a very active competitor in this type of shooting.
In 1991 I opened Mike's Shooters' Supplies which was a custom gunsmith operation specializing in building Garands, M1A's, AR15's and bolt guns primarily for NRA high power competitors. The shop was in operation 11+ years and only recently (1/03) stopped offering services to the general public.
